Rock and Pop String Camp 2024

The Rock and Pop Strings Camp is for students looking to explore rock, pop, jazz, fiddle styles, and more this summer!

Where did the idea come from?

Two years ago I started an after school club with the orchestra students at my school.

It was called the Jazz String Ensemble.

This club was all about exploring jazz, improvisation, and different styles as a string player. My students had a blast! They loved playing music in a new way and it opened up a whole side of their creativity in addition to helping them become better musicians.

By joining the Rock and Pop Strings Camp students will:

  • Learn alternative styles of playing such as rock, pop, jazz, fiddle, and more!

At the end of the Rock and Pop Strings Camp, students will have grown as musicians and unlocked new musical possibilities!

What Is The Rock and Pop Strings Camp?

The goal of the Rock and Pop Strings Camp is to provide string students the opportunity to learn about, perform, and explore rock, pop, blues, fiddle traditions, improvisation, and more! This workshop is for intermediate to advanced level players (students with 2 - 3 years of school or private instruction).

Highly recommend! Mr. P communicated with parents on exactly what the camp is about. My son learned different music, how to play in a group setting and had fun. He wish the camp went longer and is excited about starting the new school year playing guitar!
